Somatic Therapy for Women
Somatic Therapy for Women
Therapy offered through secure telehealth across Minnesota and North Dakota.
Sometimes talking about a challenge is not enough. Stress, trauma, burnout, grief, and life transitions often live in both the mind and body.
Somatic therapy helps you understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, nervous system, and physical experience so you can respond to life's challenges with greater awareness, resilience, and self-compassion.
Therapy may support you if you are experiencing:
• Anxiety, stress, or overwhelm
• Burnout or chronic exhaustion
• Trauma or difficult life experiences
• Chronic illness or chronic pain
• Grief and loss
• Neurodivergence, including ADHD and autism
• Life transitions or identity shifts
• Feeling disconnected, numb, or stuck
My Approach
My work is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in nervous system awareness.
Together we may explore:
• Somatic and body-centered therapy
• Nervous system regulation skills
• Mindfulness and self-awareness practices
• Parts-informed and inner child work
• Meaning-making and personal growth
There is no pressure to be fixed, positive, or perfectly regulated.
We begin where you are and move at a pace that feels supportive for your system.

Some healing happens best outside of four walls.
From mid-April through mid-October, outdoor therapy sessions are available at the Lions Walking Trail in New York Mills and Blacks Grove Park in Wadena.
Sessions may include walking, standing pauses, mindfulness practices, or gentle movement while exploring what matters most to you.
Nature-based therapy may be a good fit if you:
• Feel more grounded outdoors
• Think better while walking or moving
• Prefer a less traditional therapy environment
• Value a holistic, non-pathologizing approach
Sessions are weather-dependent and transition to telehealth when needed.
