A Place to Learn, Connect, and Belong

Healing doesn't only happen in therapy.

Sometimes it happens while learning something new. Sometimes it happens through movement. Sometimes it happens while sitting in a circle of women who remind you that you're not alone.

At Northwoods Velvaere Studio, workshops and community experiences are created to support your nervous system, deepen your understanding of yourself, and foster meaningful connection. Whether you're attending a workshop, joining a yoga class, or gathering with other women, each experience is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and community.

There is no expectation to have it all figured out.

Just come as you are.

Workshops

Northwoods Velvaere Studio is currently creating seasonal workshops that invite women to better understand themselves through a nervous system-informed lens.

Together, we'll explore topics such as burnout, chronic stress, nervous system regulation, mindfulness, self-compassion, neurodivergence, seasonal living, and the mind-body connection. Each workshop is educational, practical, and grounded in the belief that healing begins with understanding.

Whether you're new to this work or looking to deepen your healing journey, these gatherings are intended to leave you feeling more informed, more connected, and less alone.

Planned Workshop Topics

  • Understanding Your Nervous System

  • Burnout & Overwhelm

  • Somatic Tools for Anxiety

  • Mindfulness for Everyday Life

  • Self-Compassion Practices

  • Seasonal Living & Wellness

  • Women's Gatherings

Workshop dates, times, and locations will be announced as they become available.

Most workshops are anticipated to begin in Fall 2026 and will be held at community locations throughout the area.

Yoga for All Levels

Yoga at Northwoods is about more than movement.

Whether you're stepping onto a mat for the first time or returning to a familiar practice, you're welcome here.

Rooted in the traditional principles of yoga, each class gently weaves together mindful movement, breath, nervous system awareness, and compassionate self-exploration. You'll be invited to move at your own pace, listen to your body, and practice without pressure or perfection.

This is not about achieving the perfect pose.

It's about creating space to reconnect with yourself, one breath and one movement at a time.

Classes incorporate mindful movement, breathwork, and nervous system awareness to support regulation, self-connection, and overall well-being.

Yoga dates, times, and lactations will be announced as they become available.

Community Gatherings

Healing isn't meant to happen in isolation.

As Northwoods continues to grow, so will opportunities to gather in community. Women's circles, seasonal events, book discussions, retreats, guest speakers, and other shared experiences will be offered over time, creating spaces where women can connect, learn, and support one another.

My hope is that Northwoods becomes more than a place to receive therapy.

I hope it becomes a place where you feel seen, supported, and like you truly belong.

Because healing grows stronger when we grow together.
